InTraMed-C2C

Introduction
Clinics have a high potential for innovations in product, process and service development. There are a lot of reasons, why this innovation potential – especially of the medical staff, but also of the scientific, technical and nursing staff - is insufficiently exploited
The project partners have already developed different approaches at local or national level to exploit this potential. The project InTraMed-C2C follows the approach to discuss the ideas of the clinical staff directly in the clinics in small workshops with company representatives, especially from small and medium enterprises, and approaches to follow for implementation. SMEs benefit from the transfer of innovation in that they are able, or laboratory prototypes and business solutions for bottom-up approaches from the daily clinical practice in dialogue with the users derive.
The aim of developing best practice examples and the transnational implementation of the project outcomes (implementation of workshops, IP and innovation transfer, etc.) fully fulfill the CENTRAL EUROPE program objectives (promotion of innovation in Central Europe) in the particular area of medicine and medical technology within the network of clinics and companies.
Benefits for Bavaria
The export share of the medical technology industry in Bavaria is about 70%. 600.000 employees are active in Bavaria in the healthcare industry. Furthermore, there are 400 licensed acute care hospitals and 48,000 doctors in Bavaria. Thus Bavaria benefits in a particular way of successfully implemented measures in the project Intramed-C2C, which targets at a European network of clinics and companies to target.
The Valley Medical EMN Association (e.V.) develops the system for the standardized innovation transfer from hospitals to companies in Bavaria jointly with the Project Forum MedTech Pharma e.V. / Bayern Innovativ GmbH.
