Since 2010 we are the only Leading-Edge Cluster for Medical Technology in Germany - designated and sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Partners in Medical Valley have implemented 45 R&D project in the five lead themes ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging, horizontal innovation, intelligent sensors and therapy systems until 2015, which all follow the common strategy to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare - and this very successfully:
