The WaveLight GmbH is a subsidiary of Alcon, the ophthalmology division within the Novartis group. The company is a global leader in modern diagnosis and operation technology development and manufacturing for the correction of ametropia using eye-laser surgery. The product range also includes an electronic guidance system used to position intra-ocular lenses in cataract operations and eye-tracking systems for eye laser surgery.

Bis 2050 gibt es mehr alte als junge Menschen; die Patientenzahlen bei Erkrankungen wie Demenz, Diabetes oder Krebs werden deutlich zunehmen.
